Miami is the Place to Be!

Not only is Miami often considered Florida's crown jewel bu according to Travel + Leisure Magazine, Miami is one of the "Best Places to Travel to in 2014." Miami boasts a 35 mile stretch of gorgeous beachfront, from the Sunny Isles to South Beach. When in Miami, you can't help but stop and check out the scene at South for it is the place to see and be seen. And if your vacation brings out your wild side, spend a day at Haulover Beach (clothing optional) which is know as a great surfing spot.

Widely know for its gorgeous and fun-filled beaches, Miami also offers a rejuvenated urban core, distinctive neighborhoods such as South Beach, Downtown and the Design District, as well as a hub of innovative hotels and restaurants. One super chic boutique hotel that still offers great rates is the SLS Hotel of South Beach (they offer a great birthday package, so consider booking a weekend getaway during your birthday month!) The SLS sits in the middle of the South Beach Social Scene and is known for its style, luxury and service. If you are looking for a more tranquil scene, consider staying at The Standard. This hotel offers a top notch spa experience, as well as top rated service.

Miami offers a plethora of restaurant choices, so it's a foodie's dream city. But before you are ready to dine on some fabulous cuisine, stop by Hemisphere Lounge at Loews Miami Beach Hotel for a signature cocktail or organic microbrew. Although wouldn't consider Miami "the south", stop by Yardbird Southern Table & Bar for true southern comfort food. For the more adventurous eaters, stop by Pubbelly or its sister restaurant Pubbelly Sushi. For those of you who prefer a classic surf and turf dinner, Prim 112 is the place to go. But don't forget good ole Joe's Stone Crab and order (you guessed it) the stone crab.

Shopping is a must when you visit Miami for it is a fashionista's dream. Everyone deserves to spend a little of their hard earned cash now and again, so head straight to the Bal Harbor Shops. If you are on a bit of a budget (and who isn't?) check out areas such as Bayside Marketplace and CocoWalk. And of course, don't forget about the over-the-top nightlife Miami offers! If you are looking for a nightclub with outrageous entertainment, don't pass up Liv at Fontainebleau Hotel. Mynt Lounge and Nikki Beach are two top contenders of the nightclub scene as well. But if you want to maintain a low key evening but still enjoy some adult beverages, pop into Radio Bar.
